First Look: Armada ARV JJ Powder Skis

This winter has been epic. Massive amounts of powder have given me the itch to pick up new gear, and super-wide powder skis have been on my shopping list for awhile. I’m now the proud owner of a set of Armada ARV JJ skis with Armada bindings.

I was able to try these wide boards out once in spring conditions, not powder. Not optimal but I had to try them before the snow melted. I’ll be putting these into play as soon as the powder hits for the 2019-2020 season, and posting a review soon.

Stay tuned, so to speak.

New Backcountry skis, boots, poles, bindings

I’m diving into the world of backcountry skiing as of today. I picked up some super smokin’ spring deals on this setup below.

My new backcountry ski gear for spring 2019

Yes if you are paying attention, there is only one boot. Maybe that’s why the price was so great! Actually, The Lifthouse forgot to put the other boot in the box. I’ll post individual reviews/features of each element here soon.

First Look: Oakley Flight Deck XM Prizm Snow Goggles

Newest addition to the golf equipment lineup is a pair of the Oakley Flight Deck XM goggles with Prizm Snow Hi Pink Iridium lenses.

I already have a pair of Oakley goggles with gray/black lenses, but those aren’t the greatest in flat lighting conditions. That’s why I went with the Pink Iridium. They’re supposed to be much better in flat light.

I’ll be testing these Oakley ski/snowboard goggles soon and posting a full review here. Stay tuned.

New Rossignol Sky 7 HD’s

My old skis started to ooze black tar. That’s probably a sign you need new skis. So after a lot of research I narrowed it down to the Blizzard Bonifide and the Fischer Ranger 90 Ti. That’s why I ended up with the Rossignol Sky 7’s.

My sales guy at Utah Ski and See was very informative and helpful and after about 30 minutes of talking about my skill level, body size, ski style, and snow I typically ski in, we settled on the Rossi’s. I take them up for their first tracks in two days.

Can’t wait.

I need to post more here.
